A new reveal unfolds in Tales of the Nile as Azza Fahmy Jewellery presents the second part of the collection’s second chapter, introducing a new series of High Jewellery pieces inspired by heritage, symbolism, and exceptional craftsmanship At the heart of this reveal are a series of distinctive necklaces that reflect the house’s deep connection to symbolism, poetry, and exceptional craftsmanship.
The Hand of Fatima necklace revisits one of the house’s most recognizable symbols. The protective Hand of Fatima, a motif long explored within Azza Fahmy’s design language appears here in 18kt gold through intricate filigree, three-dimensional floral elements, and delicate ajour twisted wirework. At its centre sits a vivid 4.60ct
cushion-cut Emerald, handpicked by Head Designer Amina Ghali for its depth of colour and natural brilliance. The phrase “Oh Protector – appears in calligraphy as fine as lace, anchoring the piece in ” both symbolism and craft.
Versatility, a hallmark of Amina Ghali’s design approach, is reflected in the Tales of Love necklace, a multi-way design that bridges generations of craftsmanship. The necklace features one of the house’s most iconic chains, first introduced by Azza Fahmy over fifty years ago. At its centre rests a 7.21ct octagon-cut Emerald framed by diamonds, chosen for its exceptional colour and cut. Beneath it, a pendant bears the poetic line “In my heart I see you every day and every night – Twisted wirework and handmade Arabic chain tassels complete the design, creating a silhouette that subtly echoes Art Deco influences.

Rooted in ancient Egyptian visual language, the Emerald Lotus choker draws on the rich iconography of Tutankhamun. Thi 18kt gold choker features a pear-shaped Emerald at its centre, set within a delicate Diamond frame, from which a detachable tassel unfolds. Gold chains set with Diamonds lead to dangling Lotus motifs, adding movement to the piece. The design draws inspiration from Tutankhamun’s iconic mask and the back of his nemes headdress, while also reflecting the geometric patterns and motifs found in the temples and tombs of the Theban monuments of Luxor. Alternating bouquets of Lotus flowers are balanced with daisy rosettes, and the piece is completed with the house’s signature Roman chain, fastened by a large rosette and ending in finely sculpted Lotus forms.

The Joy necklace centres on Rubellite, a stone Amina Ghali has recently been drawn to. At its centre, a pendant engraved with the words “Happiness & Joy – in Azza Fahmy’s signature calligraphy is surrounded by 28.35ct oval-cut Rubellite stones, each framed in diamonds and set by hand using the Ottoman technique. Strands of luminous pearls form the necklace, punctuated with delicate filigree crescents that soften the intensity of the stones and bring balance to the composition. The Joy necklace is designed to be paired with the Joy earrings. whose 8.13ct oval-cut Rubellite stones framed in diamonds echo the same regal presence.
The Rubellite Tutankhamun necklace further explores this connection to ancient Egypt. This 18kt Gold necklace, set with a handpicked Rubellite at its centre, encircled by a halo of Diamonds, evokes the jewellery found among the treasures of the young king Tutankhamun’s tomb. At the heart of the piece is a carved scarab surrounded by the exquisitely feathered wings of Horus, suspended from Azza Fahmy’s signature Roman double chain and Djed Pillar—symbols of strength, endurance, and eternal blessing Extending this expression of colour and sentiment is the Joy bangle. For each piece in her High Jewellery collection, Amina Ghali personally selects the stones, allowing their individuality to guide the design and ensuring that every piece remains entirely unique. This 18kt gold bangle centres around a one-of-a-kind 6.57ct cushion-cut Rubellite, set within a diamond frame that echoes a refined Art Deco silhouette. Encircling the stone is a band of lace-like calligraphy reading “Joy – Happiness – ”, a poetic reflection of the emotions Ghali wished the piece to convey. The design is completed with the house’s signature twisted wirework, a technique perfected in the Azza Fahmy workshop since the 1980s.

Alongside the necklaces and bangles, the collection also introduces a striking Aquamarine ring set with a radiant 2.10ct princess-cut Aquamarine within an Art-Deco-inspired diamond setting. Personally selected by Amina Ghali for its clarity and colour, the stone rests on a band engraved with the words “Compassion & Mercy – ” in the house’s flowing calligraphy. The piece reflects Azza Fahmy’s philosophy of weaving meaning into form, where stone, word, and craftsmanship come together with quiet strength.
Throughout the collection, Ghali’s search for exceptional gemstones, sourced during her travels to India ,remains central to the narrative. Aquamarines, Rubellites, Emeralds and other remarkable stones were chosen for their individuality, becoming the starting point around which each design takes shape. Through Arabic calligraphy, intricate filigree, and time-honoured metalwork techniques, the collection continues to express Azza Fahmy’s belief that jewellery carries stories, stories shaped by heritage, artistry, and time.
