A community event brought together education, art, sports, and talent in an interactive experience that promoted inclusion and participation.
The “Hour by Hour” program, in cooperation with the Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities, organized the “Back to School 2026” event under the slogan “Hand in Hand,” held on September 24 and 25, 2026, at Tawar Mall, from six in the evening until ten at night, in a community atmosphere that brought together children, students, families, and members of centers for persons with disabilities in an integrated educational, recreational, and interactive experience.

The choice of the slogan “Hand in Hand” came to reflect the essence of the event and its message, embodying the concept of returning to school as more than just the beginning of a new academic year, but rather the launch of a phase in which the roles of the family, school, and community complement one another. The event succeeded in bringing together various groups in one space, where they shared knowledge, talent, and joy, thereby reinforcing the values of participation and providing opportunities for everyone.

Tamani Al-Yafei: We believe that every child has a talent that deserves to be discovered
Ms. Tamani Al-Yafei, CEO of the “Hour by Hour” program, said that the “Back to School” event stemmed from the program’s vision of presenting community events that carry value beyond the occasion itself, combining benefit and enjoyment and giving children real spaces to express their talents and abilities.
A Platform for Talents and Abilities
Over two days, the event presented a diverse program combining education, culture, arts, sports, and entertainment, with the participation of school students and members of the Shafallah Center, along with a number of student talents.

The stage witnessed a variety of segments, including the national anthem of the State of Qatar, student participations, theatrical scenes, poetry recitals, educational and musical performances, as well as sports performances in taekwondo and karate, puppet theater, cartoon characters, and scientific and entertainment shows.
The event also included the cultural competition “Think and Answer,” which offered children and families an experience combining knowledge, excitement, and interaction, along with bubble shows and other segments that added an atmosphere of joy and fun for the attendees.
Al-Yafei emphasized that “Hour by Hour,” through its events, is keen to instill a set of values in generations, including cooperation, initiative, self-confidence, and respect for others, noting that the goal is not limited to presenting a temporary event, but rather creating an experience that leaves an impact in the hearts of children and families.
“Hand in Hand”.. When Participation Becomes a Message
The “Back to School” event highlighted the importance of community inclusion by providing a real space for everyone to demonstrate their abilities and talents, as members of the Shafallah Center participated in a number of musical and artistic segments alongside student participations.
The event reflected the message that every child possesses a talent that deserves to be discovered, every ability deserves to have the right opportunity, and that society, when working “hand in hand,” can create an environment that is more inclusive, cooperative, and celebratory of diversity and difference.
A Different Spirit for the Start of the School Year
Through this event, the “Hour by Hour” program presented a different concept of celebrating the return to school, combining learning and fun, talent and participation, difference and integration, and family and community, in an experience aimed at making the start of the school year more interactive and inspiring for children and families.
The event concluded its message with the philosophy of the slogan “Hand in Hand,” which emphasized that the start of the school year becomes more beautiful when it begins with a spirit of participation and joint work — to create an experience, discover a talent, and leave an impact.
