CEO Speaks with Dubai Life Coach Lee Levy – Mohamed Al-Delaimi, Founder & Managing Director of SkipCash.

In today’s fast-moving world, money has become more than a transaction, it’s an experience. People want speed, safety, and simplicity, whether they’re paying for a coffee, settling invoices, or running a business. This is where SkipCash, Ǫatar’s own home-grown digital payment platform, steps forward with purpose and vision. Built under the leadership of its forward-thinking Mohamed Al-Delaimi, Founder & Managing Director of SkipCash.

SkipCash brings payment freedom into everyday life by allowing users to pay, send, and receive money through seamless, secure, and beautifully simple technology.

As the world shifts rapidly toward cashless living, the importance of trusted digital payment solutions has become non-negotiable. And for Ǫatar, having a national platform leading this evolution is a point of pride and progress. SkipCash represents more than innovation— it represents confidence in local talent, empowerment for businesses, and a smoother, smarter financial experience for everyone. In a country known for ambition, SkipCash is becoming the digital heartbeat of its future economy.

Our very own wellness jorunalist, phenomenal Dubai Life Coach Lee Levy, interviewed Mohamed Al- Delaimi on his success journey and shares key points that are of interest:

What motivated you to create the payment platform SkipCash?

The idea came from a simple observation how much time and effort people in Ǫatar were still spending on traditional payments.

I wanted to create a solution that simplifies the process, removes the need for cash and physical cards, and empowers businesses and consumers to transact instantly and securely.

SkipCash was born from the belief that digital payments should be effortless, smart, and accessible to everyone.

2.  What were the best moments you remember at the start of the journey?

The early days were full of energy and discovery. I still remember the first time someone used SkipCash in a real store it was a small transaction, but for us, it was proof that our idea worked.

Every milestone since then, from the first merchant partner to becoming one of Ǫatar’s leading fintechs, carried that same excitement. Seeing people trust and use something we built from scratch will always be one of my best memories.

3.  What were the challenges you initially faced?

Fintech is a heavily regulated and complex sector. In the beginning, navigating licensing requirements, earning merchants’ trust, and educating the market about digital payments were major challenges. But we treated each challenge as part of the learning curve

Over time, Ǫatar’s fintech ecosystem evolved, and programs like the Digital Incubation Center and ScaleNow gave us the right support to grow faster and stronger.

4.  How do you keep a balance in your personal and professional life? (Sport, Music, friends, etc.)

Honestly, I don’t think entrepreneurs ever have a real balance. The work is always with you, even on your ‘off’ days. What I try to do is just manage my mindset.

Whenever I can, I make time for family and friends they’re the ones who keep me sane. Some weeks it’s easier, some weeks it’s impossible, but being around them resets me.

So for me, balance isn’t some perfect routine… it’s just making sure I don’t lose the parts of life that actually matter.

5.  What advice do you have for anyone who wishes to start a company in Ǫatar?

Start small, stay consistent, and be patient. Ǫatar offers a strong environment for entrepreneurs, supportive programs, access to funding, and a growing tech ecosystem but success takes time.

Build something that solves a real problem, listen closely to your users, and be ready to adapt fast. And above all, surround yourself with people who truly believe in what you’re building.
