Festival City Launches “Bon Appetit”, an International Food Campaign Event Offering Unique Dining and Entertainment Experiences

The much-awaited month-long food event will showcase the diversity of the Mall’s culinary scene

Visitors are invited to take part in the “Bon Appetit” raffle draw campaign for a chance to win amazing prizes and capture memorable moments at the special Food Festival photo opportunities

Doha Festival City, Qatar’s one and only choice for dining, shopping and entertainment, is delighted to launch “Bon Appetit” month long Doha’s largest in-Mall International Food Event. Held between 20 June and 25 July 2021, the event campaign will feature a wide selection of Festival City’s food and beverage (F&B) outlets, taking visitors on a one-of-a-kind culinary journey. Guests will have the opportunity to taste the finest cuisines of different countries while capturing memorable moments next to the event photo opportunities distrubted around the mall adding a joyous ambience.

To add excitement to the unique gastronomic experience, visitors will be invited to take part in “Bon Appetit” raffle draw for a chance to win amazing prizes from retailers and sponsors at Festival City and the grand prize, a Volvo S90 momentum 2020 car. Customers who wish to participate in the raffle draws must register online via special link & QR codes which will take them to the AI whatsapp account where they will be required to enter their information and complete the registration. Once the registration is finalized, the customer will have an online digital passport in the raffle draw campaign system. Food Passport information desks located will be open for all the food campaign-related enquiries or registration assistance, between 2pm and 10pm on weekdayts and 2pm and 11pm from Thursday to Saturday. Passport booth branding will change every week to pay tribute to the various countries representing the diverse cuisines at the mall.

Every minimum of 50QAR receipt in any of the food outlets earns the customer a digital stamp, and every 6 stamps – a digital raffle draw ticket. To enter the raffle draw, customers should photograph their receipts dated between 20 June and 25 July 2021 and send them to the dedicated AI WhatsApp number which can be accessed via the special links and QR codes. “Bon Appetit” raffle draw participants will have a chance to win gift cards worth up to QAR 500, QAR 1000 and QAR 5,000, as well as trips  for two to Turkey, France, Italy, UK and the USA, or a Volvo S90 momentum 2020 as the first prize. The minimum age of participation is 12 years old. Winners will be announced on the 27th July 2021 at 7pm under the supervision of representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

An exciting line-up of interactive photo opportunities and 3D displays featuring famous monuments and signature dishes of participating counties will be installed throughout the mall. Five stands will be themed with landmarks from Qatar, Turkey, India, France, Italy, UK and USA for visitors to take pictures and learn more about each country.

General mall trading hours will be from 10:00 to 00:00, with an option to trade until 01:00 for all retailers, and 02:00 for F&B outlets operating for takeaway and delivery. The Hypermarket will be open continuously from 09:00 to 00:00.

In line with the preventative measures set out by the authorities, Doha Festival City has introduced stringent health and safety measures throughout the mall for its staff and visitors. This includes a thorough mall disinfection treatment on a weekly basis, robust cleaning, and sanitization operations during mall trading hours, 225 hand sanitizing stations installed in the areas that have commonly touched surfaces.

At the entrance to the mall and all shops, visitors must show their green Ehteraz QR code, and should wear a face mask during their whole time in the mall. Following the latest government restrictions, kids below 12 years old are not allowed to enter the mall, and the mall continues to operate with overall capacity and parking spaces reduced to 30%.
