Genesis Middle East & Africa today announced its partnership with Skyline Automotive, the official Genesis distributor in Qatar, for a sponsorship agreement with Padel IN Qatar.
Genesis’ brand presence will be visible throughout the tournament with special activations and experiences, while Genesis staff will be on-site to engage with the local community. The Genesis Masters tournament will also be held in September 2022, one of the major tournaments in the Padel IN calendar.
First of its kind in the region, Padel IN is an indoor padel club in the heart of Doha that opened in 2019. Since then, its high-end facilities and comprehensive programs have delivered entertainment and training opportunities for players and fans alike.
Omar Al Zubaidi, Head of Genesis, Middle East & Africa commented, “We are very happy to have partnered with Padel IN Qatar. The sponsorship will increase our commitment to the sport of padel and help foster both local and international talent. As a brand, Genesis is dedicated to supporting a variety of sports tournaments around the world. We look forward to working with athletes and customers as part of the 2022 Padel IN Qatar.
Mohamed Jaidah, Group Executive Director of Jaidah Group commented, “Padel is the fastest growing sport in the world and has become one of the most popular sports in Qatar, just as Genesis is the fastest growing premium brand in the world and gaining a lot of traction in markets such as Qatar. Therefore, we are delighted to be extending our partnership with Padel IN Qatar to support the sport and local athletes for various tournaments across the country whilst showcasing all that Genesis has to offer. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with Padel IN Qatar over the coming months.”
A cross between tennis and squash, Padel is referred to as the “fastest growing sport in the world,” with more than 250,000 new players taking up the activity every year. The Middle East is a particular hotspot for the sport, with Qatar enjoying a prominent role in its development since opening its first Padel court in the summer of 2019.
