This addition marks the brand’s debut in Qatar and the second flag in the Middle East
Renowned for its Original Lobster Rolls and prime beef burgers, Hospitality Development Company (HDC) in partnership with London-born restaurant group Burger & Lobster, announced the brand’s debut in Doha, at The Pearl Island on December 4th, 2022.
True to its hallmark of owning the world’s most prestigious addresses in gateway cities, this new restaurant will be centrally located in 6 La Croisette – the waterfront promenade on the Island’s primary marina of Porto Arabia. This marks Burger & Lobster’s first opening in Qatar and second flag in the Middle East, following its success in Kuwait City.
Alongside Burger & Lobster’s signature prime beef burgers and fresh Atlantic lobster dishes, the Halal menu at Burger & Lobster Doha will feature distinctive offerings and a specially curated beverage list that gourmets will appreciate, including the Chermoula Grilled Lobster– grilled lobster marinated in chermoula paste and served on braised saffron rice with chermoula sauce, roasted almonds, pine nuts and tzatziki sauce, and Dates Pudding – a sweet treat made from warm dates enriched sponge cake soaks in a rich toffee sauce, served with salted caramel ice cream and a dusting of snow sugar. The opening in Doha will also be the first Burger & Lobster to launch their new range of B&L smashed burgers, in a world first for the mono-product pioneers.
Amplifying the brand’s unique personality, the restaurant’s ambience is curated by leading boutique interior design consultancy, Rockett Studio Pte Ltd. The 88-seat restaurant will cater for both indoor and al-fresco dining on the terrace, complemented by a vibrant bar, with unbeatable views of Qatar’s largest marina. A warm and inviting sense of arrival evokes Burger & Lobster’s renowned casual, bustling and friendly atmosphere, featuring the familiar combination of textured timbers, cool marbles and buttery-soft leather materials.
“The secret to our rapidly expanding global presence lies in our ability to secure prime addresses in the world’s favourite gateway cities, which our discerning guess have come to expect,” said Riccardo La Monica, Director of Business Development at Burger & Lobster. “We are excited to showcase our obsession for fresh lobsters and prime beef burgers at the iconic Pearl Island, which is one of Qatar’s leading leisure and dining destinations boasting unmatched dining offerings and leisure attractions.”
With simplicity at the core of the Burger & Lobster concept, all restaurants feature live lobsters that are flown in from Nova Scotia, Canada, and prime cut beef from the finest sources.
Hospitality Development Company (HDC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of United Development Company (UDC) a leading Qatari shareholding company and master developer of The Pearl and Gewan Islands.
In addition to Burger & Lobster, HDC currently operates several successful restaurants at The Pearl Island including Michelin-Star Shirvan Métisse Doha, Burj Al-Hamam, Arabesque, Isla Mexican Kitchen, Chocolate Jar, and the newly opened king of Milanese pizza, ‘Spontini’.
