“Hour and Hour” Program
The “hour and hour” program organized the “Tourist Destinations” activity as part of the Qatar Heritage Festival. This was supported by Qatar Museums, Ain Mohammed Village, and in cooperation with the Youth Apparatus of Al Sailiya Sports Club.
The activity was held in the historic “Ain Mohammed” Village, aiming to highlight the richness and diversity of the Qatari experience in terms of culture, heritage, nature, and authentic hospitality.

Organizing this third edition of the activity by the “hour and hour ” program came to enhance Qatar’s position as a leading regional and global tourist destination. The program provided a significant opportunity for senior citizens to explore the most important tourist and cultural landmarks within Qatar, connecting them with the country’s geography, history, and civilizational heritage.
Ms. Tamani Al-Yafie, CEO of the “hour and hour ” program, expressed her great pleasure in organizing this activity, which is directed towards senior citizens. It comes after the program organized two previous editions; the first launched last August targeting primary and preparatory school students and people with special needs, while the second edition targeted secondary and university students during last November.
She stated that the third edition of the activity gained special importance as it reflected Qatari heritage and authenticity, especially at the event’s location, Ain Mohammed Village, this archaeological village that highlights the originality of Qatari heritage.

Ms. Tamani Al-Yafie added that organizing the “Tourist Destinations” activity by “hour and hour ” included an integrated interactive program combining various educational activities. Its objectives centered around introducing senior citizens to the most prominent tourist, cultural, and historical landmarks in Qatar. She noted that the program aims to support the tourism economy by stimulating domestic tourism and attracting visitors, in addition to enhancing partnership with the private sector and cultural, tourism, and sports institutions to develop local tourism content.
She added that the activity also included strengthening the spirit of belonging and loyalty to the homeland, alongside developing the cognitive and social skills of participants through interactive activities. It also provided an integrated educational and entertaining experience in a safe and stimulating environment, through which they sought to link theoretical knowledge with practical activities and real-world experiences.
Ms. Tamani Al-Yafie, CEO of the hour and hour program, said that organizing the “Tourist Destinations” activity aligns with their vision to introduce the new generation and visitors to all aspects of Qatari heritage and culture, while providing an integrated educational and entertaining experience.
She continued: “In the hour and hour program, we seek to create a distinctive space that combines enjoyment and benefit, enhances the sense of belonging and pride in national identity, and highlights the rich tourism components of our country.” She indicated that the activity comes within the program’s ongoing efforts to support domestic tourism and introduce the local and international audience to the diverse Qatari experience, contributing to cementing the country’s position as a distinguished tourist destination regionally and globally.
She extended thanks to Qatar Museums and Ain Mohammed Village for their support, as well as to the Youth Apparatus of Al Sailiya Sports Club and the senior citizens for their participation in this activity, which was primarily directed towards them.
