There’s something about Ramadan in Qatar that I look forward to every year. The pace of life shifts, mornings are quieter, nights are more alive, and the city takes on this unspoken rhythm of togetherness. It’s not just about fasting; it’s about finding balance, embracing reflection, and soaking in the little moments that make this month feel so special.
In the Qatar’s lifestyle realm, Ramadan is a season of transformation. Restaurants craft special iftar and suhoor menus that are more than just meals, they’re experiences. Fashion houses unveil collections that blend heritage with elegance, and luxury brands step into the spirit of giving with meaningful initiatives.
Hospitality businesses shine the brightest, with stunning Ramadan tents, curated buffets, and exclusive pop-ups that bring people together over food, culture, and conversation.
And then there’s the city itself—its souqs, malls, and night markets buzzing with a different kind of energy, one that stretches into the early hours, as if nobody wants to let go of the night.
But amidst the gatherings and celebrations, there’s also the challenge of keeping up with work and staying productive. Over the years, I’ve found that fighting the natural energy dips of fasting doesn’t work. Instead, I lean into them. I save deep-focus tasks for the early morning, use mid-afternoons for slower, more creative work, and then, once iftar has replenished me, I pick up the more active tasks—whether it’s a workout, an event, or something hands-on. It’s a simple shift, but it has made all the difference in how I navigate Ramadan without feeling drained.
But Ramadan isn’t just about adjusting schedules, it’s also about being intentional with our time. It’s a reminder to work smarter, not harder, to embrace moments of pause without guilt, and to find productivity in new rhythms. Whether it’s through meaningful conversations, creative pursuits, or simply showing up with presence, there’s a different kind of fulfillment that comes with this season.
So what’s going on at LLQ Lifestyle? We don’t just cover Ramadan stories —we experience it!
As the city transforms, so do the ways we connect, celebrate, and even work. Whether it’s discovering the most exciting iftar spots, covering the events, exploring the latest Ramadan fashion trends, or embracing the generosity that defines this month, there’s a story in every moment. And while Ramadan encourages us to slow down, it also challenges us to be intentional, about how we spend our time, how we balance work and reflection, and how we make the most of this unique season.
We wish you having great and cherished experiences this Ramadan, may it be filled with connection, inspiration, and a sense of renewal.
Ramadan Kareem from all of us at LLQ Lifestyle.
