The Eid al-Adha celebration organized by the “Hour and Hour” program, in collaboration with United Development Company and the Youth Authority of Al-Sailiya Sports Club, saw a large turnout of visitors and families who flocked to enjoy the festivities held at Crystal Walkway – Gewan Island, from 5 PM to 10 PM on Monday, June 8.
Visitors of all ages enjoyed a wide range of cultural, artistic, and heritage-filled activities that captured the joy and spirit of Eid. These included a poetic segment by Qatari poet Fida Al-Hail, a performance titled “Eid Mubarak” by students of Maymouna Primary School for Girls, and a musical piece by students from Shafallah Center expressing a message of willpower.

The event also featured interactive games, competitions, and shows with traditional and national themes, such as the popular food segment “Eid Fwala” with Qatari chef Aisha Al-Tamimi, and the quiz competition “Think and Answer” hosted by Qatari presenters Khalifa Al-Rumaihi, Abdullah Al-Hilabi, and student Haya Al-Yafie alongside talented participant Saud Al-Mir from the special needs community.
Accompanying activities included traditional storytelling, handicrafts, traditional and popular costumes, children’s games, various creative workshops, fine arts, Arabic calligraphy, and gilding.
The event was attended by many distinguished figures and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Qatar, including ambassadors from Moldova, Gambia, Romania, Bangladesh, El Salvador, Croatia, Kyrgyzstan, and representatives from Belarus, among others.

Tamani Al-Yafei, CEO of the “Hour and Hour” program, emphasized the program’s commitment to engaging with the community by preserving cultural identity and spreading joy among children, including those with special needs, through unique educational, cultural, and recreational experiences.
She added that the event reflects the program’s vision to enhance social values, embrace diversity, and integrate all community groups in an atmosphere rich in tradition, joy, and national spirit.
Al-Yafei expressed her gratitude to the event’s supporters and partners, including United Development Company, the Youth Authority of Al-Sailiya Sports Club, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of People with Special Needs, Shafallah Center, and various schools and beauty salons.
The choice of Crystal Walkway on Gewan Island as the venue provided a perfect space for family-friendly, interactive activities with an elegant and climate-controlled environment.
“Hour and Hour” continues its cultural and social mission by organizing a wide variety of events in areas such as education, sports, heritage, health, and volunteerism—with a strong focus on education and sports. The program also supports field trips, workshops, youth initiatives, and art-related projects throughout the year.
Its ultimate aim is to help build a well-informed and cultured Qatari generation, in alignment with the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the country’s sustainability goals in education, environment, and agriculture. The program serves diverse social segments—children, youth, elderly, and individuals with special needs—through skills development, talent nurturing, and leadership training at local, regional, and international levels.
