The event highlights digital innovation and its role in raising breast cancer awareness within the Pink October events
The “One Hour and One Hour” program organized a qualitative awareness event under the slogan “A Window of Hope”, as part of the activities of the month of Pink October, at the Ezdan Palace Hotel, in the presence of a large number of health, educational, cultural and humanitarian agencies, and with the participation of more than one guest.

This event comes in partnership with the Qatar Cancer Society, and with the support of the Ministry of Public Health, represented by the Department of Prevention of Non-communicable Diseases, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, and the General Administration of Endowments, in addition to the Turkish Embassy in Doha, the Turkish Cultural Center, and the Turkish School, in addition to a group of institutionsLocal education and health.Employing technology to serve health awareness

The event aims to highlight the vital relationship between technology and health awareness, especially with regard to breast cancer, and how to benefit from digital tools in raising the level of health awareness, promoting early detection, and alleviating patients’ suffering through psychological and cognitive support.
The event also included an important topic on the challenges resulting from excessive use of technology, and ways to achieve digital balance, especially among children and youth, as they are the group that most uses modern technologies.

On this occasion, Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Jabr Al Thani, founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Cancer Society, said: “We believe in the Society that awareness is not an option, but rather a responsibility, and that technology, when used in this context, becomes a tool capable of saving lives and opening windows of hope in the hearts of patients and their families,” noting that its effectiveness“Technology and Awareness” represents an inspiring model of what we can achieve when the efforts of various state institutions join forces to harness digital innovation in the service of health awareness, especially with regard to breast cancer.

He added, “The fruitful partnership between the Qatar Cancer Society, the (One Hour and One Hour) program, and all supporting parties, reflects our deep belief in the importance of investing in knowledge and technology as a means to enhance prevention and support those living with the disease.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Cancer Society also sent a message of thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of this event, adding, “We renew our commitment to continue working for a conscious, cohesive, and proactive society, where every information turns into prevention, every support into life, and every moment of despair into a window of hope.”
Tamani Al-Yafei: Technology is bridges of hope and knowledge
Ms. Tamani Al-Yafei, CEO of the “One Hour and One Hour” program, said that this event, which is organized under the slogan (Window of Hope) within the Pink October activities, and which carries within it a noble humanitarian and health message, seeks to enhance awareness and provide support through the portal of science and technology.

She added: “We believe that technology is not just tools, but rather bridges of light, connecting us to knowledge, and opening for us windows to life, reassurance, and hope. Every awareness saves a life, and every information that may be planted with love may yield hope in a sick heart.Our presence today is a message of support and love to all those facing the challenges of illness, and to all the care and support heroes behind them.”
She concluded her speech by emphasizing the importance of community cooperation: “This event is an embodiment of our deep belief in the importance of all sectors coming together to spread awareness and employ technology in order to build a healthy, more aware, optimistic, and humane society.”

The event witnessed the participation and presence of His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Hamad Al Thani, Director of the Non-communicable Diseases Prevention Department at the Ministry of Public Health, along with speakers from the Qatar Cancer Society, the Women’s Police Institute, the Qatar Society of Engineers and Qatar University. The media discussion session was moderated by Hessa Al Kuwari.

Comprehensive goals for the event
The “Technology and Awareness – A Window of Hope” event sought to achieve several main goals, most notably highlighting the role of technology in improving health care and awareness, spreading awareness of breast cancer, promoting early detection, and raising awareness of the dangers of excessive use of technology.
It also presented the pioneering Qatari experience in the health use of technologies, in addition to supporting the psychological state of cancer patients and their families, and promoting positive healthy behaviors in children.
Through the event, we also sought to create a positive community environment that encourages optimism and confidence in science

The event opened at 5:30 p.m., and began with a fragrant recitation of the Holy Qur’an by the reciter Faisal Ahmed from the General Administration of Endowments, followed by the Qatari national anthem performed by the students of Al Khor Model School, then a poetry recital delivered by the student Al Dana Ahmed Al Abdullah from Al Khansaa Primary School for Girls.
Then followed the official speeches, awareness video presentations, and musical performances with the participation of the Turkish school, in addition to the student choir segment, and a special video from the Qatar Cancer Society was shown, then the discussion session entitled “Technology and Awareness” began, concluding the event with a group photo and a tour throughout the accompanying art exhibition.
Concluding message: A window of hope towards the future
At the conclusion of the event, the participating and supporting entities were honored, emphasizing the importance of continuing cooperation between the health and educational sectors, and integrating community efforts to support awareness initiatives, especially those concerned with breast cancer. A clear message was sent that knowledge, technology and community solidarity are the keys to building a more aware, healthy and hopeful future.
