In recognition of its media contributions in support of the Association’s mission and efforts
Qatar Cancer Society Honors Fadaat Media Group
The Qatar Cancer Society has honored Fadaat Media Group, represented by its health-niched platform Sehatok, during its 2025 Annual Partners and Supporters Recognition Ceremony. The accolade acknowledges the group’s distinguished media role in spotlighting humanitarian initiatives and its sustained contributions to advancing public health causes—foremost among them raising awareness of cancer and promoting a culture of prevention and early detection.
The recognition was presented during a special ceremony attended by the Society’s senior leadership and hundreds of its medical and volunteer staff, alongside representatives of supporting and partner entities. The event reflected the organization’s appreciation for media efforts that have helped convey its humanitarian message to broad segments of the community.
The commemorative shield was received by Mr. Mahmoud Diab, Director of Sehatok, from H.E. Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Jabir Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of the Qatar Cancer Society.
During the ceremony, the Society honored 51 entities and institutions that have played a prominent role in supporting its programs and awareness campaigns. Fadaat Media Group was recognized for the professional coverage and educational, human-centered content delivered across its platforms—particularly Sehatok—which has contributed to amplifying the Society’s activities and strengthening its community presence.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Diab expressed his honor in the recognition, emphasizing that the media is a vital partner in humanitarian work. “We value this trust from the Qatar Cancer Society and regard this honor as an added responsibility that motivates us to continue delivering professional media content that supports humanitarian causes and keeps pace with the significant efforts undertaken by charitable and health institutions in Qatar and across the region,” he said.
Mr. Diab also extended his thanks to H.E. Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Jabir Al Thani and to the Society’s staff and teams, commending their exceptional and tireless efforts in combating cancer and raising public awareness about the disease.
It is worth mentioning that the Qatar Cancer Society and Fadaat Media Group (Sehatok) had previously signed a partnership agreement aimed at unifying media and community efforts in the field of cancer awareness. The agreement includes the exchange of educational content, coverage of health events, support for prevention and early detection campaigns, and the highlighting of survivors’ stories across the group’s platforms, including Al Araby TV 2, Al Araby Al Jadeed, and Sehatok.
