Under the slogan “Our Warmth in Our Celebration” and with remarkable public attendance,
“Hour and hour” Program Conclude the Third Edition of the Blessed Eid Al-Adha Event “Our Warmth in Our Celebration”

Tamani Al-Yafei:
“We believe that preserving heritage does not mean presenting it in a rigid form, but rather presenting it with a contemporary spirit.”
In a festive atmosphere that captured the spirit of Eid and the warmth of family gatherings, the “hour and hour ” program concluded the third edition of its Blessed Eid Al-Adha event, “Our Warmth in Our Celebration,” with wide participation from families, children, and a number of educational and community institutions. The evening lasted for hours and succeeded in presenting a vibrant image of Qatari heritage in a contemporary entertainment and cultural format.

The event saw notable public attendance, including elders, children, people with disabilities, and various segments of society. Visitors moved between heritage displays, artistic segments, and interactive corners designed to suit all age groups. The main stage turned into a celebratory space showcasing various forms of folk arts and community performances that revived memories of old Eid celebrations with their simplicity, familiarity, and collective spirit.
The program opened with the national anthem of the State of Qatar, followed by segments that blended national identity with entertainment, including the Qatari Ardha, Al-Fajr art, Al-Maradah performances, folk chants, musical segments, and live shows presented by school students and community center affiliates—a scene reflecting the scale of community participation and the spirit of cooperation among various participating institutions.

Children’s activities also attracted wide interest from families, alongside a cultural competition under the slogan “Think and Answer,” popular games, drawing and photography workshops—activities that helped create a lively atmosphere and strengthened the child’s presence within the cultural and social fabric of the event, not merely as a recipient but as a participant engaging with the event’s details.
The event was not limited to entertainment but also carried a clear cultural and social dimension through heritage corners, traditional crafts, and folk performances that highlighted elements of Qatari identity and local heritage, aiming to connect new generations with the details of folk culture in a lively, direct manner, away from a didactic or purely performative approach.
For her part, social activist Ms. Tamani Al-Yafei, CEO of the “hour and hour ” program, affirmed that the event stemmed from the program’s belief in the importance of the community and cultural role that public occasions can play when built on genuine participation and shared identity.

Al-Yafei said: “The great interaction and diverse, large attendance we witnessed during this evening confirm that society is still searching for events close to people’s hearts, offering them an opportunity to meet and celebrate in an atmosphere that carries values and meanings beyond traditional entertainment. We were keen to ensure that every visitor felt that this event resembles them and expresses them and their memory tied to Eid.”
She added: “In the third edition of ‘Our Warmth in Our Celebration,’ we focused on delivering a balanced experience that combines folk arts and modern activities because we believe that preserving heritage does not mean presenting it in a rigid form, but rather re-presenting it with a spirit capable of reaching children, youth, and families in a close and beloved way.”
She noted that the participation of community institutions and various organizations gave the event a deeper dimension, and that joint work between community and cultural institutions has become essential to enhancing cultural and social activity in the state. She said: “Every institution that participated in this event added real value to the program, whether through performances, activities, or community presence, and this is what gave the event its diversity and richness.”
Al-Yafei emphasized that the “hour and hour” program, through these initiatives, seeks to establish the concept of community events as spaces for dialogue, rapprochement, and the strengthening of national identity, and that religious occasions represent an important opportunity to revive many values and customs that form part of Qatari society’s social memory.
The event concluded with widespread praise from attendees for its excellent organization and program diversity, while the general atmosphere reflected the extent of community engagement with events rooted in local heritage, re-presented within a contemporary vision that preserves its authenticity and gives it renewed presence in public consciousness.
At the end of the event, Ms. Tamani Al-Yafei, CEO of the “hour and hour” program, extended her thanks to all the institutions and organizations that contributed to the success of the “Our Warmth in Our Celebration” event, affirming that the achieved attendance and interaction confirm the value of community work based on partnership and cooperation.
Al-Yafei said: “We extend our sincere thanks to all the supporting and participating institutions that played a key role in the success of this event, and to everyone who contributed their effort and time to present an event befitting the atmosphere of the Blessed Eid Al-Adha and reflecting the image of a cohesive Qatari society.”
She added: “We are proud of everyone’s participation, especially the remarkable presence of families, because this interaction is the true goal we seek through our community initiatives. We also appreciate the efforts of all partners who worked as one team to make the event a success and present it in this honorable manner.” She affirmed that the event’s success serves as motivation to continue offering community and cultural initiatives that contribute to strengthening social cohesion and consolidating national identity.
Ms. Tamani Al-Yafei also pointed out that cooperation among various institutions has become an important pillar in supporting the cultural and social movement in the state.
