ONE YEAR IN: ASAYA AT ROSEWOOD DOHA CHARTS A MORE SOCIAL FUTURE FOR WELLNESS

September brings together Doha’s creative community, international wellness expertise and a first look at Rosewood’s new signature massage..

One year after opening its doors at Rosewood Doha, Asaya is marking its first anniversary by returning to the idea at the heart of its creation: that wellbeing is not only personal, but something strengthened through the community.

Since its launch on 1 September 2025, Asaya has offered a different perspective on urban wellness in Doha. Rather than separating movement, recovery, nutrition and social connection, the members-only social wellness club brings them into one environment designed around the rhythms of everyday life.

Throughout September, its anniversary program will reflect the wider wellbeing, bringing together the members who have shaped Asaya’s first year, Qatar’s creative community and visiting international experts.

“Asaya was created with the belief that wellbeing becomes more meaningful what it feels personal, relevant and connected to the way people live. It’s first year has been shaped by our members and by the sense of community that has grown around them. This anniversary gives us an opportunity to celebrate that collective while continuing to explore what wellness can become.”

The month will begin with a gathering dedicated to Asaya’s members, creating a moment to reconnect and acknowledge their role in the social wellness club’s evolving identity. More than a conventional anniversary celebration, the occasion will place the community itself at the center of the milestone.

On 24 September, Asaya will collaborate with InStudio Club, the private members’ community founded by Noof Al Heidous to connect artists, designers, creatives and entrepreneurs in Qatar. Created exclusively for Asaya members and a selected from the InStudio community, the collaboration will bring two collectives together through a shared experience exploring relationship between creativity, personal expression, and wellbeing.

From 19 to 22 September, Asaya will welcome back Brows by Suman for a limited-time residency. Founded by London-based brow artis Suman Jakafm the studio is known for an individual approach that considers each client’s natural features, proportions and expression. The residency introduces another perspective on personalized care, bringing together technical artistry and a deeper understanding of individual identity.

The anniversary program will continue from 22 to 25 September with the arrival of internationally recognized spa and wellness consultant Jean-Guy de Gabriac. During his time in Asaya, de Gabriac will lead a series of workshops created exclusively for members and introduce them to the Rosewood Intuitive Massage, ahead of its wider launch at Asaya in October.

Developed by de Gabriac as Rosewoods first global signature massage, the treatment moves away from a fixed sequence. Instead, it is guided by consultation, therapeutic touch, scent and sound, allowing the experience to respond to how each person feels at that particular moment. Asaya members will be the first in Doha to experience the treatment before it becomes available to a wider community.

Together, these encounters reveal the broader story of Asaya’s first year. Wellness is becoming less defined by occasional treatments and more closely integrated into how people move, recover, create and connect. In Doha, Asaya has interpreted that shift through a members’ club shaped by its community and the cultural context of the city around it.

Its first anniversary is therefore both a celebration and a point of reflection: on what Asaya has become over the past year, and on how a more personal, social and culturally connected approach to wellbeing may continue to develop in the region.
