Mandarin Oriental, Doha will welcome Chef Michael Wong, Executive Chinese Chef of Lai Po Heen at Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur for a special culinary promotion to present his gourmet cuisine to diners at Mandarin Oriental, Doha’s signature Chinese restaurant, Liang, between 7 – 11 March 2023.
Chef Michael specializes in Cantonese cuisine, inspired by his experience and travels in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Chef Michael also pays homage to his upbringing in Lenggong, Malaysia by infusing his dishes with flavours and cooking methods synonymous to his hometown.
During Chef Michael’s exclusive 5-day residency, guests will be able to enjoy his take on classic Chinese fare with dishes inspired by the award-wining Chinese restaurant Lai Po Heen created especially for Liang. Menus will feature à la carte dishes such as Golden Lava Buns with Steamed Custard and Salted Egg Yolk, Traditional Shunde-Style Turbot Fish Soup, alongside Black Sesame Shrimp Spring Rolls and other specialties.
Also, guests will be able to order Chef Michael’s carefully crafted set menus for lunch and dinner. The menus are priced at QAR 290 per person for lunch, and QAR 390 per person for dinner and QAR 490 per person for an exclusive dinner menu on 9 March.
