Doha Festival City Announces Safety Measures and New Services at Edge Fitness and GlamBar

Fitness and beauty fanatics can now enjoy the much-awaited services of Edge Fitness and GlamBar with a host of new offers and packages  

Doha mums-to-be are also invited to watch the upcoming ‘FFTV’ episode on Sunday October 4th featuring Mothercare’s unique offering for pregnancy and newborns 

Doha Festival City, Qatar’s one and only choice for shopping, dining and entertainment, is pleased to announce that Edge Fitness and Glambar introduceadditional safety measures in line with the recent government announcements. Glambar will also launch a plethora of new services and offers. We also have exciting news for expectant and new mothers – this Sunday, Doha Festival City will release a new episode featuring Mothercare, the leading retailer of products for newborn babies and young children.

Edge Fitness, a state of the art fitness center, boasts a large area of training space with the latest top of the line equipment from Technogym with cutting edge technology. Edge Fitness has separate male and female parts, as well as circuit training areas.

In line with the preventative measures set out by the authorities, Edge Fitness has now introduced new measures to ensure safety of all visitors. As required by the government guidelines, Edge Fitness will operate with 30% total capacity. The gym’s staff will undergo temperature and Ehteraz app checks, and wear masks inside the gym at all times.

Edge Fitness clients will also undergo temperature check and their Ehteraz status will be verified upon arrival; any individual whose temperature exceeds 38 degrees celsius and/or whose Ehteraz status is not green, will be denied entry. Both staff and gym goers are required to maintain a safe distance of not less than three meters from each other, while the area around each fitness trainer must be at least 2 square meters in all directions. Toilets and shower rooms are temporarily closed, and clients are encouraged to bring their own towels, hygiene kits and water bottles. Edge Fitness also provides hand sanitizers and soap in all facilities, while a dedicated team will regularly sanitize machines and all areas at the gym.

GlamBar Beauty Lounge, Doha Festival City’s haven for wellness and refinement, and a full-fledged all ladies beauty salon, has reintroduced its much-awaited massage and facial treatments, previously suspended. Furthermore, GlamBar has launched new amazing packages : buy-5-get-1-free on all hair and facial treatments. The beauty salon also offers new trendy services, including eyelash extensions, eyelash and eyebrow lifting, makeup with professional makeup artists, Olaplex hair treatment, in addition to an assortment of coffee and refreshments freshly made at their GlamBar café.

GlamBar maintains its commitment to the health and wellbeing of its customers by applying strict safety protocols. Maximum number of people in the salon is constantly monitored, and the total number of people does not exceed the capacity defined by MOPH guidelines. Clients are reminded to wear their face masks at all times in the salon. Priority is given to clients with booked appointments, and contactless payments are encouraged and preferred by the salon.

Doha Festival City ‘FFTV’ fans have a date to pin this Sunday 4October, with the new episode dedicated for Mothercare, the leading retailer of products for the newborn babies and young children. An expectant mother will show viewers around Mothercare, displaying and discussing the best choices for her newborn baby.

Doha Festival City opening hours are Saturday to Wednesday from 10am to 10 pm, and Thursday to Friday from 10am to 11pm. Children of all ages are now allowed to enter the mall. In line with the preventative measures set out by the authorities, Doha Festival City has introduced stringent health and safety measures throughout the mall for its staff and visitors. This includes a thorough mall disinfection treatment on a weekly basis, robust cleaning and sanitization operations during mall trading hours, 127 hand sanitizing stations installed in the areas that have commonly touched surfaces.

At the entrance to the mall and all shops, visitors must show their green Ehteraz QR code, and should wear a face mask during their whole time in the mall. Physical distancing stickers in common queuing areas, such as ATM machines, banks, telecommunication kiosks and branches and various retail shops were installed to help shoppers keep the required physical distance as set forth in the guidelines by the authorities. Stores will provide sanitizers on entry and at cash points to ensure the highest level of hygiene.
