The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa proudly announces the promotion of Vedanti Awasthy to the position of New Director of Food and Beverage.
Vedanti began her hospitality career in 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Delhi as a Management Trainee. She swiftly advanced to the role of Team Leader in Food & Beverage in 2009 and was subsequently promoted to Assistant Manager. Following this, she seized an opportunity in Doha as an Assistant Manager at one of the most important 5-star hotels in Doha. Within 1 year, she ascended to the role of Bar Manager and later transitioned to the position of Events Service Manager.
Vedanti’s remarkable journey at The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa began in 2018 when she joined as an Operations Manager in Banqueting, Catering, and Conferencing. Her tenure has been nothing short of extraordinary, marked by her exceptional contributions and unwavering dedication.
In her previous role as Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, Vedanti displayed remarkable leadership by taking the helm on numerous successful initiatives. Her visionary approach, coupled with her tireless efforts, not only steered these initiatives towards success but also consistently raised the standard of excellence within Westin. Her ability to think beyond the conventional and her unwavering dedication to achieving exceptional results have left an indelible mark on the brand’s reputation for excellence.
Since joining the property in 2018, Vedanti has made remarkable strides in overseeing the Food and Beverage Department. Notably, she achieved Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification and was appointed as the property’s BASE Coach, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to excellence.
